Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • - 350 g all-purpose flour

  • - 175 g butter

  • - 150 g sugar powder

  • - 1 Egg

  • - 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • - 1 teaspoon salt

  • - Lemon zest of half a lemon

  • - cookie decorating supplies

Directions

  • 1. Cream together the soft butter and sugar powder until frothy.

  • 2. Add the egg, cinnamon, salt and grinded lemon zest. Tip: Some cocoa or food colouring can be added now for brown, black or colourful cookies.

  • 3. Add the flour and mix until it forms a smooth dough.

  • 4. Knead dough into a ball, wrap in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 45 minutes.

  • 5. Roll the chilled dough on a floured area and cut out cookies with the cutter. Put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.

  • 6. Bake the cookies for about 10-15 minutes in the preheated fan oven (180 °C) until they are nicely browned. Now start decorating and enjoy your cookies!
